Fernweh (German) "To feel homesick for a place you have never been to"
This word intrigues me, because I experience this a lot. I want to travel all the time. I constantly beg my mom to take me on trips and to spend money on me. I know she gets very annoyed with me. Sadly, we do not have the money to travel a lot. The most we will go will be California or Alaska. We travel a lot to these places because of family and work. I dream to go to Europe and Asia. I want to go everywhere and I have this feeling of being homesick for these places, even though I have not been to any of them before. Anytime I stay up late watching travel videos or looking at travel pictures on Tumblr, I will remember that I am fernweh. I am going to tell my mom that I am fernweh when she says no to traveling .
